Bandsix Academy was founded on a simple conviction: every HSC student deserves a tutoring experience that is genuinely built around them — their school, their syllabus, their ambitions, and their learning style. We reject the one-size-fits-all model that dominates the tutoring industry in Sydney.
Our founder, Alessandro Prestia, is a University of Sydney Bachelor of Commerce graduate who has spent years working closely with HSC students across Sydney's most competitive independent schools. His experience spans English Advanced, English Extension, Business Studies, Economics, Legal Studies, and Modern History.
What sets Bandsix Academy apart is our diagnostic-first approach. Before any tutoring begins, we conduct an in-depth assessment of each student's current performance, identifying specific gaps in knowledge, technique, and exam readiness. From this foundation, we build a week-by-week study plan that evolves with the student's progress.
We work exclusively with families from Sydney's leading private schools — including Knox Grammar, Barker College, Abbotsleigh, Shore School, Cranbrook, SCEGGS Darlinghurst, and Pymble Ladies' College.
